How long before my order is shipped?
All items are handmade in the USA, they are not mass produced. We take extra care when making your straps so we ask that you please allow 6-8 business days before they are shipped. This does not include shipping transit times. Please allow the appropriate shipping time via the method you select. If you need your strap sooner, please consider rush service or our ready to ship section.

I need my order ASAP, what are my options?
You have a couple of options here. You can pick a strap from our "Ready to Ship" section or you can choose our Rush Service. You can view our available RUSH options under our shipping tab. We will ship your order within 48 hours via the RUSH shipping option you selected. You can choose the Rush Service at checkout, it's listed as one of our shipping options.

What shipping methods do you use?
We ship via USPS, UPS or FedEx. You can select your method at checkout. Keep in mind USPS does not include tracking. You can view our rates by clicking the shipping link.

Do you ship international?
Yes, we do ship international. We offer International Economy (14-28 days) or Express Mail (up to 6 days). Transit times are in addition to our production time of 6-8 business days unless you purchase from the "ready to ship" section. International shipping rates are based on weight so you will need to add the item(s) to your cart to determine the final shipping price. PhatStraps is not responsible for VAT or Duty fees associated with international purchases.

What length should I get?
That's hard to say. It really depends on you. We are all different shapes and sizes with our own personal preference so we can't really suggest one length for everyone. You can view our Strap Lengths to view examples of the different lengths. You can drape a tailors tape around you like you would carry your camera to help determine the length you want.
What are your straps made out of? Most straps are made with a 100% cotton fabric wrapped all the way around an inner webbing. You can add upgrades such as Minky lining during the order process. Some photos are shown with upgrades and must be chosen when ordering, if you wish to have the upgrades. More about the construction of our straps in the "specs and info" section. Some straps do not have fabric wrapped all the way around and will be indicated in the item description. These are usually but not always, the Jacquard and Leather straps.

Are the quick release buckles safe?
Yes, they are made with a very strong Acetal plastic that locks together. Don't mistake quick release for easily released. You have to squeeze both sides together at the same time to release the buckle so there is no chance of it accidentally releasing by bumping one side. You can opt to omit the buckles if you choose. The quick release straps attach to your camera the same way your current slr strap attaches, there is just a buckle halfway up the narrow nylon portion.

How much will my strap cost including shipping?
Due to all the options available for each strap, we do not email price quotes. The easiest way to determine a price is simply by adding the item to your cart and selecting the shipping method of choice. You can always remove the item from your cart when you are finished.

Will your straps fit my camera?
Our straps are for DSLR Cameras. The nylon portion that attaches to your camera is 1/2 inch wide. They fit most SLR/DSLR cameras made by Nikon, Canon, Pentax and Sony. Just to be sure, you can cut a piece of paper to 1/2 inch width and see if it fits through the slots of your camera. My straps also fit some of the larger point and shoot cameras but not all. This is ultimately YOUR responsibility.

Do you make custom straps?
If you have something specific in mind for your strap simply contact us and we will see if we can accommodate your request. If there is not an option for something you want, it is then a custom item and you must contact us regarding pricing and further instruction so we can create your perfect custom strap.. All custom requests must be submitted via email. Adding a note with your order will not result in obtaining the customization, the appropriate fees must be paid in advance. Custom requests are not accepted between November 28th and December 31st.

How long are your straps?
Please read the "Specs and info" section to answer most of your measurement questions. Keep in mind, my straps DO NOT adjust shorter than the length ordered.

My strap is too long, what can I do?
If you ordered a strap that is too long, we can shorten it for a service fee of 10.95 and 7.00 for each additional strap in the same shipment. This covers the cost of labor and additional shipping. You MUST contact us first to obtain an RMA and arrange payment. Due to sanitary reasons, the strap must be in the original unused condition. Some restrictions apply so please read our return policy for more information.

I changed my mind, can I cancel my order?
If you contact us within 24 hours, we can usually accommodate your requests. Due to the custom nature of our products, any changes or cancellation requests made after 24 hours from ordering will be charged the restocking fees per our return policy.

I want to add my website or name to my strap, can I do this?
We do offer an embroidery option on most straps. We do not offer embroidery on our Leather straps. Once you click the pattern of choice, you will see drop down menu's to add embroidery. If you do not see this option, embroidery is not available for that particular product. You can read more about embroidery under the "personalization" section from the menu on the left. Personalized items are not eligible for return or exchange.

Where's my order? It's been 8 days.
Please note our turn around time is 6-8 business days. Business days exclude weekends and holidays. You must also add the shipping time onto that.

I emailed you but haven't heard back from you, why?
99% of the time, it's because our email went to your junk mail folder or you have provided an invalid email address. When filling out the "contact us" form, double check your email address. Also be sure to check your junk mail folders. If you have a spam blocker, we will not go through the trouble of "getting approved" as one of your contacts, so keep that in mind as well.

Do you charge sales tax?
Yes, all Texas residents will be charged 8.25% sales tax.

What is Minky?
Minky is superior quality plush microfiber chenille fabric made of polyester. It's very soft and simply amazing! Used to make baby blankets and soft robes etc. Our minky dot has raised dots that give the fabric a nice texture. DO NOT IRON the minky side of your strap. You will iron the dots right out of the fabric. We use the best quality available and do not use "off" brand minky. You will be thrilled with it, I promise.

Can I wash my PhatStrap?
Yes, we recommend hand washing but you can machine wash by using a mesh bag or pillow case. Hang to dry. You can iron the strap using any setting for cotton. Do NOT iron the Minky side if you have added that option. All our fabrics are NOT pre-washed so wash with like colors.

Can you add a pocket for a lens cap?

How do I attach my strap to my camera?

How come my straps are not interchangeable? Our old buckle manufacturer could no longer keep up with our demand so we had to find someone that could. If you have a strap that was purchased before July 2009, it will have our old quick release system on it. We will no longer offer to replace the buckles since it's been over two years.
Can you omit your company label from my strap? I'm sorry, it is against company policy to remove our brand label from any product you purchase from PhatStraps. Please refrain from leaving comments asking us to do so. All comments regarding branding removal or requests to displace our label will be dismissed.
